Sammy Mason

Camera Trap Specialist

Dr Sammy Mason is a trustee of MammalWeb, a charity aiming to improve mammal monitoring through the use of camera traps and citizen science. Sammy completed her PhD on the MammalWeb project, particularly focusing on estimating mammal densities using camera traps and evaluating the benefits of engagement with schools.

Keiron Brown

Biological Recording Specialist

Keiron is a dedicated advocate for biological recording and invertebrate education. As the developer and manager of the BioLinks project for the Field Studies Council, Keiron spearheaded the delivery of more than 200 in-person and virtual training sessions, supporting both new and experienced invertebrate recorders. In 2023, he founded the Biological Recording Company to further promote and support biological recording initiatives. Keiron has also led the National Earthworm Recording Scheme since 2014 and sits on the advisory council for the National Forum for Biological Recording.

Nicky Green

Crayfish Specialist

Dr Nicky Green has been working with crayfish since 2003 and has recently completed a PhD on the control of American signal crayfish. As well as white-clawed crayfish survey and conservation work she researches practical and effective methods to control invasive crayfish. Nicky has worked with white-clawed crayfish in Devon since 2003 and on Exmoor and elsewhere since 2015 trialling new and innovative techniques.
