Learnt a lot about different species and subspecies of earthworms. Just wonder jumping worms are also found in the UK & Ireland or they are ones of the 33 earthworms described. Apparently jumping worms are not good. I used to pick up worms after heavy downpour and transfer them to my garden. I think most of them should be Lumbricus terrestris, after going through this course. But I see cast in my garden rather than midden. Unfortunately, I also picked up jumping worms and put in my garden. I'm interested in Sparganophilus tamesis. There seems to be little information on the internet as well.
